Dr. Yusuf Yazici, Director of the NYU Behcet’s Syndrome Center, New York City, will chair the session on Behcet’s Syndrome on Friday, July 12th at the 2013 Vasculitis Symposium. The two-hour session will address symptoms, side effects, treatments and outcomes facing patients living with vasculitis. In addition, Dr. Yacizi will discuss current research efforts for Behcet’s. The discussion will continue on Saturday with an extended “Lunch with the Doctors” to allow attendees to follow-up with questions from the morning sessions.
The Behcet’s Syndrome Center was established in 2005 and is located at the NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases. The center’s aim is to aid in evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of Behcet’s. In addition the center has a large patient cohort and performs critical research on Behcet’s.
The Vasculitis Foundation is pleased to welcome members of the American Behcet’s Disease Association to the symposium. ABDA will have an informational table at the meeting and will be sharing their experiences with attendees.
