Dr. Pendergraft spent five years as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the UNC Kidney Center where he received various teaching awards, and led numerous clinical and translational trials in lupus nephritis and vasculitis. He also co-founded The Integrative Medical Clinic of North Carolina in 2018 with Dr. Julie McGregor. Dr. Pendergraft conducts translational and clinical research to cure autoimmune disease and prevent relapse, with a special emphasis on systemic diseases that affect the immune system.
