The American Thoracic Society will hold its annual patient education day, Patients & Experts Forum, as part of the
ATS International Conference in Washington, DC on May 20, 2023.

This FREE patient/family event is organized and hosted by the ATS Public Advisory Roundtable (PAR) and will be held Saturday, May 20, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Renaissance Washington, DC Downtown Hotel. The theme for this year’s forum is Pulmonary Health Care: Access for All, and the focus of the talks will be different strategies to help lung disease patients receive the care and therapies they need.

The forum is open to lung patients and their families, and will feature expert speakers as well as several breakout sessions designed to give patients and their families a chance to interact with prominent pulmonologists. It is also an opportunity for patients to meet other individuals who share their experience with lung disease.

The breakout sessions will see informal discussions on the latest in research, clinical trials, and clinical care with experts on many different lung and airway disorders including Vasculitis, Cystic Fibrosis, Sarcoidosis, Primary Ciliary Dyskinesia (PCD), LAM/Tuberous Sclerosis Complex, Pulmonary Alveolar Proteinosis (PAP), and Chronic Obstructive pulmonary Disease (COPD).

Lunch will be provided, free of charge. Interested persons are asked to RSVP to [email protected].
