Whether you consider yourself a poet or not, every soul yearns to express itself.
Delight in community & creativity in this healing poetry workshop with our very own Director of Communications and published poet, Ashley Asti. When you’re living with a chronic disease, it can feel like your world revolves around it. You may experience grief and loss over your identity or feel like your world is consumed by treatments and doctors’ appointments. The intention of this small class is connection, expression, and a chance to feel your own creative powers. It’s a chance to rediscover your full self–your humanity–beyond a diagnosis. Together, we’ll explore quotes and poems (and have a chance to write your own!) in a safe and supportive environment.
This class is open to everyone, regardless of whether you’ve ever written a poem or not! Enjoy community discussion and sharing over an hour and a half (12:00-1:30pm CT).
*This class is limited to 20 participants. If you sign up and realize you can’t make it, please cancel your registration so someone else can take your spot.
