Largest International Congress Focused on Vasculitis

The VF team recently attended the 20th International Vasculitis + ANCA Workshop in Dublin, Ireland and we learned a lot more than you could possibly discuss in a 10-minute doctor visit! It is the largest international congress focused on vasculitic disorders. This exciting cross disciplinary meeting presented scientists, healthcare professionals, and advocacy leaders a strong educational program with dynamic keynote speakers.

As a sponsor of the event, the VF had the opportunity to connect face-to-face with the most influential people, bodies, and organizations in vasculitis research. We strategically aligned with innovative current-and next-generation thinkers to fast track advances in earlier diagnosing, better treatments, and improved patient quality of life through research.

Here are just a few of the highlights from the VF team:

  • Fostering collaborations and building new relationships with other advocacy leaders around the world. Joyce Kullman, VF Executive Director and Julie Power, Chair Vasculitis Ireland Awareness shared insights on strategies to continue to meet the needs of patients with vasculitis around the world
  • Showcasing 8 VPPRN and VF research study abstracts.
  • Seeing VCRC-VF Fellows presenting their research. The Fellowship program has trained 28 physician-investigators and it is wonderful to see their work continue to advance vasculitis research.
  • Announcing the VF’s 2022 New Investigator Pilot Grants

This was an extremely valuable and inspiring event. We will be releasing the scientific highlights of the Workshop throughout Vasculitis Awareness Month.
