The Vasculitis Foundation relies heavily on our local teams to organize and participate in chapter events, act as local area contacts, and organize events. We encourage our members to host fundraising events to:

• Raise awareness of Vasculitis in your local community
• Raise funds for our education, awareness and research programs
• Honor or memorialize a family member or friend

Whatever the reason, organizing an event can bring together your local support group, family and friends for a fun activity for a great cause! Our members have successfully hosted a range of fun events including:

• Walk/Run Event
• Dinner Party
• Sports Tournament (Golf, tennis, basketball, etc.)
• Motorcycle Group Ride
• Bake Sale/Spaghetti Dinner
• Craft Sale
• Raffle
• Car Wash

To help you plan and host a fundraising event, we have developed a Fundraising Event Handbook. It provides suggestions for the types of events that have been successful. It provides useful tips on how to plan and organize your event. It also let you know some of the things that we can do to help and to let you know how the office can support your event.
