Seeking Board Nominations for the June 2008 Election

Did you know that there is more than one important election in 2008? An election for open positions on the Vasculitis Foundation’s Board of Directors will take place at the Annual Meeting during the June Symposium. Having the qualifications and motivation to get the job done is what we need!

Members and supporters of the Vasculitis Foundation are eligible to run for the VF Board of Directors. If you or someone you know is passionate about the VF and wants to play a greater role, applying for a VF Board position is the way to go.

This is a working board, so applicants should take the potential of a board position very seriously. The board traditionally meets quarterly; two meetings are held in Kansas City and two by conference call. Occasionally, as needed, additional conference calls are added. The VF is committed to broadening and expanding the knowledge, expertise and interests of the board.

The Nominating Committee will consider all viable candidates.* However, expertise in the following areas is crucial:

Finance
E-communication
Legal
Fundraising

Please contact the VF Office for an application. The application deadline is March 28th, 2008. *

The Nominating Committee will review all the applications. Members of the committee will then interview potential candidates; the slate will be posted 2 weeks prior to the election.
