Start making plans to participate in Vasculitis Awareness Week April 25 - May 1, 2010.  It is the single largest annual effort in raising awareness and we need your help to make it successful.   Vasculitis Awareness Week is an international effort organized by the VF to advance public awareness of this rare disease as well as the progress in treatments and advances in research.  By uniting, we can create an international coalition, which speaks stronger and louder than a single entity.
Activities to raise awareness range from distributing brochures to doctors’ offices, pharmacies, hospitals, libraries, grocery stores; contacting your local civic clubs, churches, synagogues or temples and offer to speak about your personal experience with vasculitis; coordinate a vasculitis informational display at a health fair, store, or hospital; ask your city government to publicly acknowledge Vasculitis Awareness Week; write a letter to your congress person; contact your local media to be interviewed about vasculitis; plan a fundraising event, etc. The opportunities for raising awareness are endless.

The VF office will help you in your planning. Download the Vasculitis Awareness Handbook below or email Judy Blankenship, VF Events Coordinator to get involved!
