Vasculitis Awareness Week has moved to May 3-9, 2009! Awareness Week is the VF’s single largest annual effort at raising awareness and we need your help to make it successful. Write a letter to your congress person; plan a walk or golf tournament; ask your city government to publicly acknowledge Vasculitis Awareness Week; send an email to your friends and family and ask them to contribute to your efforts; take brochures to your local doctors and ask them to display them in their offices. There are many different activities that you can plan that will help raise awareness and much-needed funds. Start planning now! The VF office can help you in your planning and help guide and promote your efforts. Contact the office to request a 2009 Awareness Week Handbook (vf@vasculitisfoundation.org or 800.277.9474). Share your Ideas for Raising Awareness

Everyone wins when we share our Vasculitis Awareness ideas. Whether we are educating the medical community, our neighbors, friends or the general public, the more people that have heard of vasculitis, the better for us all. Therefore, the VF is sponsoring its first VASCULITIS AWARENESS CONTEST.

Entering is easy: 

1. Think of a way that you share Vasculitis Awareness with others (neighbors, friends, doctors, the general community - you choose).

2. Submit your idea/s to the VF.

3. Please include a return address, phone number and email (if available) with your submission.

4. Check the VF newsletters and website for some eye-catching and inspiring ideas. Maybe yours will be featured.

5. Each entrant will receive a VF Awareness bracelet and a chance for the GRAND PRIZE drawing, which will be a free registration fee for one individual to the 2010 Vasculitis Symposium. If the same idea is submitted, the one with the earlier post mark will be accepted.

6. Please submit your ideas anytime before July 1, 2009. The grand prize winner will be announced in the September/October VF newsletter.

Spreading Vasculitis Awareness is one more way that we are "Sticking Together for a Cure".
