Over the past 10 years, VF members and friends have raised over $450,000 through fundraising events. During 2006, VF members hosted 39 fundraising events in 16 different states and four foreign countries. The events collected as little as $24 to as much as almost $20,000. All of the events share the same goal – to raise awareness and understanding of vasculitis and the individual diseases.
Thanks to our members’ dedicated efforts in organizing fundraising events, the VF is able to fulfill its mission and implement its critical Support, Awareness and Research Programs.
Organizing a Fundraising Event
Walk, Run, Bike, Swim, Eat, Scrapbook for Vasculitis!
From basketball, bowling and fishing tournaments, walks, runs, marathons and extreme sport events, dinner benefits, casino nights, motorcycle rides and scrap booking get-togethers, VF members and friends organize and support many different fundraising endeavors.
We encourage members to think of an activity they enjoy and organize an event around the activity. Almost any activity can become an event. Our Fundraising Event Handbook can be downloaded (see below) to assist those who are interested in organizing an event.
