Vasculitis Awareness is expanding to a month-long celebration!
Please join other VF members, patients, family members and the vasculitis medical community around the world in raising awareness of vasculitis and the VF. We believe everyone should know about vasculitis!
Contact your local media and ask to be interviewed about vasculitis. Explain how it is not so rare as rarely diagnosed, describe symptoms, and explain about the importance of research being conducted to discover the cause(s) of vasculitis.
Contact your local civic clubs (Kiwanis, Rotary, and Lions), churches, synagogues or temples and offer to speak to their members about your experience with vasculitis.
Coordinate a VF informational display at a health fair, festival, store, or school.
Call or send letters/emails to Talk Shows/Investigative Shows asking them to spotlight vasculitis and/or offering to share your story with their audience.
Ask your city to declare a Proclamation for Vasculitis Awareness.
Visit with your Congressional representatives when she/he is back from Washington in the home office. Start a relationship and tell your story. Explain why funding research is important to our patients.
Coordinate a fundraising event, i.e. golf tournament, walk, dinner party, garage sale, special occasion gift party, etc.
