People at the Vasculitis FoundationThe Vasculitis Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) organization, founded in 1986 by Marilyn Sampson, a Wegener’s patient and registered nurse. The VF is the only international organization for people with vasculitis and through its Awareness, Education and Research programs, works to improve the lives of vasculitis patients. The VF Board of Directors is responsible for determining the Foundation's mission, determining programs and policies and planning for the Foundation's future. Each board member is also responsible for chairing one of the organization's standing committees. The Board works closely with the VF staff and the hundreds of volunteers who serve as Area Contacts, Chapter and Support group leaders. 2008-2009 Term
